A little about JW...

I am originally from the Boston area so I'm a die-hard Redsox and Celtics fan. I moved around quite a bit growing up...Vermont, Arizona, Wisconsin, finished high school in Connecticut. Spent five sweet years at Wake Forest University in North Carolina killing brain cells and getting my BS in business...Graduated and went into technology sales (because I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life...still not really sure.) Got burned out after six or seven years doing that in Ft. Lauderdale and Atlanta so I moved down to southwest Florida to be closer to my folks. I love it here and I'm never leaving.

I grew up mainly playing soccer, basketball, and golf...but I love all sports. In Lauderdale and Atlanta, I sang in a couple of bands...I'd love to get one going down here in the live music "vacuum" that is Charlotte County...no luck as yet. I like to do anything outside...kayak, golf, beach, whatever...I can't stand being inside on a sunny day.

It was at a Redsox/Devil Rays game last summer that Kerri Black told my I should be on the radio. I told her, "I know! How do I get on the radio?!" I interviewed, and here we are... Since I work full-time selling real estate, I can only DJ on Sunday afternoons, but I really dig it...I love when friends call in or tell me that they've heard me.

My real goal since I joined Clearchannel has been to re-create the radio show that I did one night a week when I was in college...So if our all-powerful, awesome, benevolent, and fragrant General Manager Mike Moody sees fit, I would set about creating an irreverent and humorous talk show with a local focus that will bring people together on the radio. I believe SO strongly that the true value of terrestrial radio in today’s environment of downloadable music and satellite radio stations is a local talent with a local focus...we've got some great people at Clearchannel Punta Gorda that could make this work...

Stay tuned because I am not exaggerating when I say that this show will change the world. Wait a minute…yes I am. But it will be awesome.

In the meantime, my sincere thanks for letting me be a part of your world on Sundays, noon to 6pm, since October 2006!

Back from my Bahamas Cruise...
